Kenya Government Committed to Implementing Universal Health Coverage

The Kenyan government has reaffirmed its commitment to
strengthening the healthcare system by ensuring fair pay and
adequate support for healthcare workers, while also boosting
training through university partnerships. Principal Secretary Dr.
Ouma Oluga announced plans to increase local manufacturing of
essential health commodities from 23% to 50% to improve supply
resilience. Additionally, the nationwide rollout of the Integrated
Health Information and Technology System is enhancing data
driven policy-making and efficiency across public health facilities.
